Gititu Factory
Established in 1971, Gititu Factory is a historic coffee processing facility located approximately 47 kilometers from Nairobi, nestled at 1,300 meters elevation on the mountainside. The rich forest environment and distinctive red-black volcanic soil create ideal conditions for producing coffee with remarkable acidity and full body—qualities that the factory takes immense pride in.

Commitment to Excellence and Transparency
The cooperative's dedication to quality improvement is evident through their comprehensive producer training programs and their practice of inviting farmers to participate in Nairobi's coffee auctions. This transparent approach not only enhances coffee quality but also empowers farmers with direct market knowledge and fair compensation.
More Than Coffee
Every cup from Githitu Factory represents decades of trust-building and collaborative effort between the land and its people. It embodies the remarkable story of how a community has leveraged their natural resources and collective determination to create both exceptional coffee and lasting positive change.
This coffee is a testament to what can be achieved when quality, community, and sustainability work hand in hand.
